About Casa Rio

Where Comfort Meets Nature—and Guests Become Family

At Casa Rio, hospitality isn’t just a business—it’s a mindset. Born from a passion for peaceful living and meaningful travel, our vacation rental was designed to offer something more than just a place to sleep. We set out to create a welcoming retreat where guests of all kinds—families, professionals, adventurers, and remote workers—can feel at home and at ease.

Our property sits tucked away along the Muscatatuck River in North Vernon, Indiana, offering a rare combination of quiet seclusion and modern convenience. With three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and multiple outdoor spaces designed for relaxation, Casa Rio invites you to slow down, settle in, and stay awhile.

Casa Rio began with a simple idea: what if we could create a place that made people feel something again?

For us, that meant peace. Stillness. Warmth. Connection.

We knew the property had potential—tree covered surroundings, riverfront access, and a layout perfect for families or small groups. But more than anything, we wanted it to feel intentional. Every room was designed with comfort and harmony in mind. Every amenity was chosen to add ease or joy to your stay. And every guest interaction was built on genuine hospitality—just like we’d offer friends visiting our own home.

From the wraparound deck to the cozy living room, from the fireplace to the massage chair in the basement, Casa Rio was created to restore your sense of balance. It’s a place to press pause, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the people (and pets) you came with.

What We Value

At the heart of Casa Rio are three simple values:

1. Comfort Without Compromise

We believe in creating a space that feels good the moment you walk in. That’s why Casa Rio comes fully stocked with the essentials—and then some. Soft linens, full kitchenware, Wi-Fi, streaming-ready TVs, heated bathroom floors, and cozy seating arrangements are all standard here.

2. Nature as a Feature, Not a Backdrop

Unlike many rentals that treat outdoor access as an add-on, Casa Rio was built around it. Whether you’re sipping morning coffee on the deck, listening to the river flow, or heading out for a day hike at a nearby park, you’ll find nature integrated into every part of your stay.

3. Hospitality That Feels Personal

We’re not a faceless booking company. We care about your trip, your experience, and your memories. We’re always available to answer questions, offer recommendations, or help you navigate a last-minute request. We aim to treat every guest the way we’d want to be treated—kindly, promptly, and with care.

What Our Guests Value

Over the years, Casa Rio has evolved thanks to the thoughtful feedback of our guests. From adding board games for families to installing a massage chair for relaxation seekers, we’re always finding ways to upgrade the experience.

Some of our favorite additions came from guests just like you:

  • “The massage chair was an unexpected treat after a long hike.”
  • “Loved having a high chair and crib available—it made traveling with our toddler so much easier.”
  • “That private deck off the bedroom? Magical.”

These stories are what keep us growing—not just as a property, but as hosts.

Why Guests Return Again and Again

We’ve been fortunate to welcome guests from all walks of life: couples looking to reconnect, families hosting reunions, professionals seeking peaceful work retreats, and friends escaping the noise of the city. Many come back, and that means the world to us.

We think it's because Casa Rio isn’t just a property—it’s a feeling. A calm one. A real one. And in today’s world, that’s harder to come by.
